Just Press Pause.....

I am NOT a photographer.
I am NOT a photojournalist.
I am merely a girl with a camera.
Sometimes a high end Nikon digital camera.
Sometimes a basic Canon student film camera.
Other times nothing more than a simple camera phone.

But all of the images on this site evoke an emotion in me.... some of them good, some of them sad, but an emotion none the less. More often than not, there is a “back-story” as well. But as you sift through them, you will notice that none of that is automatically included. I feel that the exclusion of such information allows you to experience your OWN emotion.

You will also notice that they are not neatly organized by category or location. I believe doing so would only limit your own imagination and may cause you to miss something. Most of these images are of ordinary things, many of which probably cross your line of sight every day. But more often than not, our “to do” lists rob us of the opportunity to notice them. My images are merely a by-product of using the shutter button on a camera as a proverbial pause button on life.

I encourage you to leave a comment and share what ever emotion a particular image stirs within you. If you find that you are still curious about the “back story” or my emotion, just ask. I would love to tell you about it. But that is what this sites blog will be used for. My reply will remain separate from the actual image.

In closing, I want to thank you for taking time away from your “to-do” list to visit my site. It is my sincerest hope that you not only find value in an image, but you can use this as a spring board to develop your own inherent ability to see the things (and people) that are around you everyday. Many of the images were taken from the drivers seat of my truck, which only proves that even sitting at a traffic light can provide you with a few extra seconds to notice something of value.......
